Musk Claims Massive Cyberattack on X | Ours Abroad News

Elon Musk reported a massive cyberattack against X, suggesting involvement from a coordinated group or country aiming to silence the platform.

Mogul Elon Musk has reported a supposed "massive cyberattack" against his social media platform X, which he owns, that has experienced problems throughout the day. Musk suggests that a "coordinated group and/or a country" may be behind this attack with the goal of silencing the platform and him.

In a message on the affected social network, Musk expressed: "There has been (there is still) a massive cyberattack against X. We are attacked every day, but this has been done with many resources. A large coordinated group and/or a country is involved. Investigating...".

Users in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and other countries have reported operational problems on X throughout the day, peaking around 10:00 AM (2:00 PM GMT), according to records on the DownDetector portal which reached 40,000.

The businessman responded to a post mentioning "protests against DOGE" (Department of Government Efficiency of Donald Trump's Government), attacks on Tesla stores (his electric vehicle company), and suggested that the outages on X could be the result of an "attack".

Confirming the cyberattack in a later post, Musk also briefly replied "yes" to a comment from a user stating: "They want to silence you and this platform".

The issues experienced on X throughout the day varied from slow platform loading to the appearance of error messages with code 520, related to web servers and referring to the website of the cybersecurity company Cloudflare.
